Welcome AusModels Photography

Where to best place your Modelling Portfolio

A professionally shot Portfolio is an essential tool for Models, as it demonstrates not only your look and abilities, but also a commitment to your Modelling.

Your Portfolio should reflect every aspect of your Modelling. If you want to Model Fashion, include fashion shots. If you want to Model Glamour, include Glam shots.

Including shots of the styles you wish to Model is a very basic principle, however some Models haven't quite grasped the concept and miss out on opportunities as a result.

Agencies and Photographers need to see what you have to offer. If you don't have a complete Portfolio, you may be overlooked. There are many Models out there, so you need to Stand Out.

Things Models should know about their Portfolio

Use only the very best images in your Portfolio.

Ensure your Portfolio can be easily accessed. If Agencies and Photographers need to pay to see you it will limit your exposure.

Never include MySpace type shots in your Portfolio.

Keep your Portfolio Professional.

MySpace is a great resource and can be a valuable tool for gaining exposure.

If you use MySpace, don't set your Profile to Private.

Keep your Modelling and Personal images separate.

Portfolio Sites

Model Portfolio Sites and Promotion

As explained above, making your Portfolio available to those who might wish to employ you is vital. One of the determining factors of where to place your Portfolio is access. The more difficult it is to access your Portfolio, the less chance you have of being seen.

Our Links Page details some good Portfolio sites, which have unrestricted access. You don't have to pay to put your Portfolio on-line and Agencies and Photographers don't have to pay to see you.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF MODELLING isn't how good you look, or the size of your Bust, or even the colour of your Hair. The most important aspect is YOUR SAFETY.

Portfolio Sites, such as Net-Model, which are like a Community, offer Models the opportunity to Reference Check Agencies and Photographers before accepting assignments. Make sure you know the reputation of who you'll be working with, beforehand.
